KARMA needs surgery to remove her front leg. Sweet Karma escaped from her fenced yard on Tuesday, and went on an unsupervised adventure—which resulted in a run-in with a moving vehicle, and injuries to her right front leg. X-rays revealed no broken bones (yay!) but the leg was hyper-extended and injuries to the nerves have left Karma unable to use her leg. We are told Karma is about three years old, and was very loved by her human before her accident. We understand that life circumstances sometimes mean humans don’t always have the resources needed to care for pets when there are unforeseen events, and her owner sadly signed Karma over to the shelter because he was unable to fund her medical costs. Estimated costs for amputation will be $2000–we are hoping to raise that much asap, so we can get Karma on her way to surgery and recovery. We hope we can get our friend on her way to healing very soon!
