Hound / Mixed (short coat) : : Male : : Adult : : Large
Here is an update on this boy. He has been neutered, has been treated for several weeks for a tick borne disease, and has proclaimed himself READY TO BE ADOPTED! He is such a patient boy! He watches the other dogs coming and going with the shelter volunteers, just waiting for his turn. He was very lucky to have an overnight with a volunteer, and loved every minute of it! He had 24 hours of kids loving on him (yes, he is fabulous with kids!) and he had access to the leather sofa as well. He needed the time out of the shelter as much as we needed for him to be "normal" for a day. But he still needs a home! Grizzly was found nose-to-ground snuffling through the Campbell County countryside. His finder thought he was suffering: he has "lumpy" ankles from old breaks and a droopy lip. But after a good meal at the shelter, Grizzly let us know that neither of these "characteristics" is a problem: he loves to play, eats well, and is good on leash. It is likely he had a home, but as yet his people have not been to the shelter to reclaim him. Grizzly shows no real interest in other dogs at the shelter and will do well as a house dog. He is a big lanky boy in search of a home to call his own. He is housetrained, loves resting on his soft cushy bed, and has nice house manners. PLEASE NOTE: This pet has been posted by Friends of Campbell County Animal Control, Rustburg, VA. For questions about the pet, please email us at FOACinfo@gmail.com.
