Ulysses is an elegant dog. There is just no other way to describe him. He has such presence! He was found as a stray and no one has a clue to whom he belongs. He is not used to being confined and has let us know that many times. He is fine with the other dogs with whom we have tested him, which included a neutered Jack Russell and a young female dog of about 30 pounds. Both dogs were overwhelmed with his size alone, but not because he was obnoxious or barky ... just big. The same thing occurred with a dog-friendly cat who was tested with him ... the cat went, "Whoa, Man--that is one HUGE dog!" and went his merry way. Ulysses is curious about everything he sees and wants to get up close and personal to check it out. That can be too much 'in your face" for some other animals. We do know that Ulysses is fabulous with kids, and we didn't even have to sacrifice any children to reach that conclusion. They were drawn to him like to a magnet. Ulysses was not at all put off by little kids. We want the best possible match for him, so he doesn't have to come back to us later. Is that you?
