We ask that the pets in your home be current with rabies vaccines, spay/neutered, and seen by a veterinarian for wellness.

Katie is a sweetheart who is shy because of lack of socialization. She will need an exceptionally patient home where she can hang out and learn the ropes before she will feel totally comfortable. She is about four years old, spayed and housetrained, and would be so happy to be in a quiet home with no children. UPDATE from foster: When Katie first came to my home, she would hide when you served her the meals. She would only eat when no one was watching. Today, she will have her meals in the kitchen with the rest of the dogs. While still shy and often cautious, she will take treats and food from my hand now. When she comes in the house, she finds her spot on the sofa or chair and that's where she stays til the next meal is served or time to go back out for a bathroom break. Totally housetrained, barks when everyone else barks, alerts me to visitors in the yard, can be found playing sometimes with other dogs, but once she sees that I am watching she quickly runs back to her safe spot. Katie could really use a person or family that will work with her on her shyness, but until that time comes, she is welcome to stay here and hang out with everyone else. Would you consider Katie for your next pet? This dog is in a foster home and not at the Campbell County Animal Control Facility.
