9/22/14 Transferred to LHS. PARKER was found by a county resident three weeks ago. He was brought in to CCAC on Thursday, where he trembled and snarled at anyone who stopped by. In cases like this, "who we gonna call?" DOG BUSTER Ralph, our faithful volunteer who can see through the facade of fear and earn trust in minutes. He is so far past the dog whisperer, there is no comparison! Now, PARKER understands friends and love, but he needs out of the shelter this weekend. Do some whispering of your own and make a new friend today! The policy for adopting an unsterilized pet requires that you live in Campbell County, Lynchburg City, or a county touching Campbell County. If you are a resident of one of these areas, you may adopt directly from the facility and spay/neuter the pet yourself within 30 days, or by the time the pet is six months of age. If you live outside this area, the pet must be spayed or neutered before you can take it home. Kittens or puppies too young for spay/neuter may be adopted through Friends of Campbell County Animal Control. We will be happy to help you make arrangements to do this. Our process begins with an application, found on our website, www.friendsofcampbellcounty.org. Once your application has been received, a volunteer will call the references you list and then will contact you.
