“My Home to Yours”

Beans is a very handsome 1-1/2 year old tri-colored guinea pig who is looking for a new family who will welcome him into their home. He is loved dearly, but after some changes within his current family, his mom feels it would be best to find a home better suited to meet his needs. (Sometimes in life, circumstances change. Responsible rehoming- directly from an animal’s current home, into a new home, is a wonderful way to avoid the stress of the shelter. We especially encourage this for small animals, who can be extra sensitive to the chaotic environment of animal shelters.)

His mom tells us that Beans is an extremely loving and very friendly piggy! He has been around children ranging from the ages of newborn up to 15 years, and loved them all. He has never shown any aggression towards them, and always enjoys the attention they give him. He tolerates grooming and nail trims well. Overall, this is a very happy boy! As with most guinea pigs, he loves his food… if his food bowl is full, and he has plenty of hay and water, he is as content as can be. He enjoys fresh fruit and veggies for a healthy snack. His mom says that when he hears the crinkle of a bag, he starts “wheeking” for joy, automatically assuming that a snack is in his immediate future.

In order to ensure a smooth transition for Beans, his family will be sending his current enclosure and supplies with him, to make him feel right at home! He has been living as a solo piggy, and his mom feels that he would be happiest with a family where he is the only guinea pig. If you are interested in adopting Beans, please fill out an application on the website, and we will forward it to his family for consideration.

"My Home to Yours"    We have had numerous requests from citizens in our county to help them rehome their pets, but they are willing to keep them in the home until it happens, rather than bring them to the overflowing shelter at Campbell County Animal Control near Yellow Branch. We are listing those cats and dogs on our website as "My Home to Yours." We ask that interested adopters fill out the FOAC application, and we will pass it along to the family wanting to rehome. We cannot guarantee health, temperament, or behavior for these pets, as we have not met them. However, we are happy to act as a resource for issues that may arise. **For pets not spayed or neutered, we are happy to help set that up!
