We are still getting to know Simon, and as our volunteers spend time with him, we get to see how he reacts to new people and new situations. We have found that he is anxious to play with other dogs, but is still learning to read their body language, and will benefit from a dog of his same high-energy level, as well as his same size. We gave him play time with a more sedate dog on Monday, and although he was corrected a few times by the older dog, he just could barely stand to back off and not jump all over him! Simon is still showing many puppy-like behaviors, but he loves to chase a ball, and is very responsive to learning, although as a puppy, he is all about being in your face and spending time leaning on the human. He will benefit from positive reinforcement dog training, with a fun-loving family willing to do what is needed to help him adjust and adapt to his new life.
