Information about the AnimalsWhat animals are available? We promote the animals at the Campbell County Animal Care and Control Facility (the Campbell County Shelter) and assist the animal control officers in the placement of those animals. We also help facilitate the adoption process of those animals, as well as dogs and cats held in foster care by Friends of Campbell County Animal Control volunteers. We have many dogs, cats, kittens, puppies, and sometimes other animals who can't wait to join a family of their own. The list of animals changes daily, so check back often. We also foster animals so that we can help save more lives and give more animals a second chance. A fostered pet is a great opportunity to learn even more about your potential new family member. Where are the animals located? The county shelter is located at 322 Dennis Riddle Drive in Rustburg, Virginia. It is right behind Yellow Branch Elementary School. There is no building associated with Friends of Campbell County Animal Control. We volunteer in the county shelter. Please know that you can always stop by the county shelter or call 434-821-4416 to proceed with all adoptions of any animal under the care of Animal Control. How do we contact FOAC?You can contact Friends of Campbell County Animal Control at 434-485-6242 or info@friendsofcampbellcounty.org. Our mailing address is 185 Greendale Drive, Rustburg, Va. 24588. What are the hours of operation for the county shelter?Hours of operation of the county shelter: Monday – Friday, 12 p.m. – 5 p.m. Saturday, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. Closed Sundays and holidays |
