Who would have guessed a little wiry-haired baby like KAMI would be a stray and not be reclaimed? Well, for many of us who have worked with rescue and worked with puppies, it's not surprising, since KAMI is a "wild child" that apparently has had no training or guidance in her short life. She was found running around a welding shop in a rural part of the county one morning! Best guess is that someone purchased her and then realized that she was not the cute little baby they thought she would be but was a needy, noisy youngster who is not yet housetrained and has not learned to settle down in the house. She is in foster care since she is so tiny, and she is doing well! She is crate trained, and that alone is a huge plus for her. Best guess is that she is pee pee pad trained, but we are just diving right in and asking her to pee and poo poo outside with the other dogs. She loves to run and gets her "zoomies" on with the dogs in her foster home. For an active younger family (kids must be over the age of five, because she loves to cut her teeth on everything, including toes and fingers!) she will be a perfect fit! KAMI is a tiny little girl with loooong legs, and a fuzzy little face. She is social and happy! She is learning all about pack behavior and truly adores the other dogs in the household, so a family with other dogs who will tolerate her batting at their faces and trying to be one of the group is a must. Have we piqued your interest? Hope so!

Successful adopters will be local to our area of Lynchburg City, Campbell County, or a county touching Campbell County. Alternatively, if you have an excellent vet reference based on your stellar vetting records from your current vet office, we would consider an out of the area adopter, as all adopted pets must be spayed/neutered by the age of six months, and your vet reference can be the proof we need that you will get the job done.
