HALLIE arrived at the shelter as a stray, with infected gums, a canine tooth all but falling out, an unexplained injury to her neck, and a wound to her face. She was incredibly dirty, with matted fur from mud caked all the way to her skin, and she was close to starving. Thanks to the folks in Altavista who saw Hallie trying to find a place of refuge, and to our animal control folks for rescuing Ha llie. Following a spay, removal of two mammary tumors, antibiotic for her injuries and mouth infection, and a dentistry, Hallie is now looking around at possible forever homes. Here is her wish list: 1) Another nice dog to cuddle with in a dog bed. As long as the dog is nice, HALLIE is okay with any size! 2) kids over five years old who will be gentle and kind to her 3) fenced yard, and not an invisible fence. It will take some time for her to figure out she is safe in a home and doesn't need to try to escape whatever horrible things happened to her in the past. Eight years old is the best guess of the vet, and little miss is trying so very hard to be housetrained!
