Hound / Mixed (medium coat) : : Male : : Baby : : Medium
Calvin has been at the facility for four weeks now, and has made huge progress with sociability, health, and happiness. He loves to play, and has been held and snuggled enough to be happy about it. He enjoyed learning how to play tug the day these photos were taken, and had fun with one of our volunteers playing "keep away." Doesn't he look like a great addition to your family?
History/origin: six month old Polo, Marco, and Calvin came to the facility when they were found as emaciated strays under the bridge on Covered Bridge Road. Best guess is that they were either strays with an adult who left them behind to fend for themselves, or were abandoned by an owner there and left to starve. Polo is very friendly and as you can see from the photo, loved being held and snuggled. It is truly amazing what can be accomplished with good dog food and some attention, for a pup who is starving not only for sustenance but for emotional stability. To adopt, please contact us at 434.821-4416.
Our process begins with an application, found on our website, www.friendsofcampbellcounty.org. Once your application has been received, a volunteer will call the references you list and then will contact you.
