Beagle (short coat) : : Male : : Adult : : Medium
Cute little Riley appears to have a 'twitch" when he runs or tries to concentrate, as he kicks out his little legs and can't always get to where he wants to go in a straight line. Interestingly, we just placed another little puppy with the same problem. More than likely it is caused by the fetus' being exposed to distemper while the mother was pregnant. There is no danger with the dog being contagious, so that should not be a concern to an adopter. Riley is the short legged beagle boy type, and is 3 years old, and around 22 pounds. He is fine with other dogs and is sharing a kennel run with a mild mannered shih tzu. Riley was given up by his owner to the county facility, which is why he is considered to be URGENT. There is no need to hold him for any length of time at all; he is available NOW. Please call the facility at 434.821-4416 to adopt. And please email us at ccac.adopt@yahoo.com for more information on Riley's possible condition.
Our process begins with an application, found on our website, www.friendsofcampbellcounty.org. Once your application has been received, a volunteer will call the references you list and then will contact you.
