Jake and his two sisters were brought to the pound on Friday, 3/2. We were told their mom is a bloodhound and daddy is a beagle. We see the bloodhound side in Jake but feel his daddy was something with a longer coat. Jake is the most outgoing of the puppies but he is not acting like a confident 8-week old puppy, so may be younger than we were told. He is enjoying the attention and care that is given to him by volunteers.
They have been given the first in their seriies of three puppy vaccines, and have been dewormed. What they need now is a home! Please note that puppy adoptions directly from the county facility are limited to citizens from counties touching Campbell County, Campbell County itself, or the city of Lynchburg. Other folks may adopt, but must go through Friends of Animal Control or another local rescue group.
