Katie, one year old, was tied to the front step of the county facility on Monday, 4/2. Katie is pregnant, and has been well-cared for. Her newly-purchased pink collar is a tribute to her femininity. She is gentle, sweet, and very much alone now. The person who tied her so uncaringly and then climbed back in the two-tone pick up truck leaving Katie behind, is the most unfeeling person I've ever encountered. Abandonment of any animal is a moral disgrace--leaving behind a pregnant youngster on county property is a crime punishable by fines and/or jail time. It would be better for the guilty party to come forward rather than wait for the due process that is in the works. Please help us with Katie! She needs a county foster home until she can be released to a group prepared to assist her and her unborn babies.
