American Staffordshire Terrier (short coat) : : Male : : Adult : : Large
Have you always wanted a mushy teddy-bear type bully dog, but were afraid you'd never be able to find one who was young, good with people, good with dogs, and just totally precious to have around? Look no further! Rocko Bob is THE dog for you! Bob's background is unknown to us, but he has revealed a gentle loving personality as the days have passed that he has gone unclaimed at the CCAC facility. We know, for instance, that he wants to be with HIS chosen family; he loves stopping to visit the other dogs in their kennels as he passes them by; he is especially fond of a big hound boy we have named Joe Beans; he could most easily be housetrained, as he can't wait to get outside to potty. He wants more than anything to get another dog to play with him, but he does it in a off-putting bullish way of bumping his head on the other dog, rather than playbowing or acting coy. I guess you could say he is a typical teenager in his rather forward way of introducing himself to newcomer dogs! Rocko Bob has two very special people who are advocating for him--the college students who found him as a stray on Candlers Mountain. They have made trips almost daily to visit and walk Rocko Bob, and on Saturday spend two hours introducing him to their family dog who came to visit from Pennsylvania. Rocko did so well with Harley, but Harley was just not in the mood for a new brother at the moment.
To visit Rocko Bob or any of our pets, please come to the facility during open hours. As an added enticement to help Rocko Bob's cause, his neuter will be sponsored at the South Central Spay/Neuter Clinic by the Friends of Campbell County! Now don't you just want to get down there and meet him?
