Rip's job as an around-town reporter has led him to dangerous places--and he has the scars to prove it. He wears the torn ear proudly and will be happy to tell you the story of how he pursused a criminal rabbit through brush and brambles in order to the exclusive for his paper. So, you may ask, what about your tail, Rip? How did that happen? and he will be happy to share the story of how, when he stuck a microphone in the face of the illegal immigrant, a family member shut the car door on his tail, and he had to leave part of it behind. Sometimes his stories are too far out there for us to believe everything he says, but they do make great reading and are very entertaining. Rip is looking for a place to hang his scarf while he pursues a new line of work that is safer. He is thinking of settling down, perhaps with another dog as a companion and for sure a home where there is a fenced yard, because he has a hard time resisting the temptation of chasing the bad guys.
