Friday needs a new home! Please read what her current mom has to say: "It's with a great deal of sadness that I write to ask if anyone knows of a good home our 3 year old dog Friday could go to. She has been a part of our family for the past 2 1/2 years and in that time we have realized that she and our other female dog are not a good fit and the best fit would be in a one dog home. Before I go into details let me introduce you to one of the biggest snuggle puppies you have met, Friday (we have attached some pics). Pros: - She is house broken and will ring a set of bells on the door to be let out. - She is kennel trained (we kennel her while we are work) - She is updated on shots - She is spayed - She has a plate in her leg that I swear has somehow made her a stronger runner. - She knows the commands: "sit" "stay" "lay" and "paw," in which she will offer up her paw to shake in exchange of a treat - She is a great runner, backpacker, and hiker. I trained for the 10 miler with her, we have done a 3 day backpacking trip with her, and we hike with her as often as time allows us to. - She is shameless and will roll over the minute she feels like she has disappointed you - She loves to snuggle. - She has incredible agility skills (she likes to jump walls and run on them on walk / runs on Rivermont Ave) - She genuinely loves people although she is a bit skittish around strangers at first. - Loves to play fetch. -Softest non-puppy you have ever touched. ...and we could go on. Cons: - She cannot be housed with another dog or cat. We have another female dog so we do not know how she would do with a male dog but wouldn't recommend trying this out. She hasn't harmed a cat but she will bark at it until your ears bleed if you let her :) - She is not an off-leash dog... nor an invisible fence dog. We put one in and she was smart enough to realize if she picked up enough speed to jump high enough there would be no shock. As you can see the pros outweigh the cons, and to be honest we are heartbroken to have to see her go. But because of several incidents where she has latched onto the ear of our other dog for reasons we are still puzzled by we have to find her a new home. We have a leash, a bed, and some favorite toys that can travel with her to her new home also." This dog is in her current home and not at the Campbell County Animal Control Facility.
