We are so fortunate that we found a foster home for Blu, where the caregiver is taking him faithfully to training classes, and spending literally hours working with him! Here is her latest observation log: "He is a lovely dog, but needs company. He is reactive when he sees another dog when we are out, but it is improving. Barks at joggers, but not at people walking. I am trying to take him every where I can to get him used to things.
He is mostly obedience trained, started in agility, still pulls when walking but improving. Not protective of food or toys, you can take them away from him.
I think Blu has the potential to be a low level agility dog (poor conformation), tracking dog, or dock diving dog. Blu is highly trainable. Only bad traits are car chasing and separation problems. Everything else I think he will work out of with more exposure to the world."
