About Bear

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Cat
  • General Color: Black
  • Housetrained: Yes
Bear needs to find a new home. He needs to be an indoor cat only because he is declawed in the front. Below are words directly from his family: "Thank you for helping me find him a good family. He’s such a loving “boy”! He will make a good companion to someone who doesn’t mind a lap-cat. Unfortunately, I’m at the point where I can’t keep him much longer. I’m allergic to him and his hair is driving me miserable. I used to take allergy shots and don’t want to go back to them. He turned 5 years old in July. My son rescued him from a trip to the SPCA as a kitten. He’s neutered and declawed. Indoor (I live between two major roads and didn’t want him hurt.) He doesn’t mind baths and loves being brushed. He grooms his own toenails! They are always short – never a need for clippers. LOL Loves being petted and is always eager to give “massages”. Will not get on furniture unless invited. He understands several words and responds to them. Loves watching birds and talks to them. I have a bird-feeder on my glass door – eye level to Bear. He can see the birds, but they can’t see them. Will give it to his new family so he can continue to enjoy it. He stands on hind legs for treats. He’s still very much a kitten and loves to play. If you say “Bear…bug! And look in the direction of the bug, he will stalk it until it’s down. If he finds a bug in the house, he will let me know so I can get it out.
