About Layla

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • General Color: Fawn
  • Housetrained: Yes
From a friend of Layla's came this wonderful story about a wonderful dog! "Three year old Layla is a Loving and Loyal companion. She is spayed, up to date with vaccinations, and has had a recent heartworm test. Layla loves to walk, run, go for drives or just relax by your side. She's a svelte 31 pounds, so just a nice medium sized dog. She is also extremely smart! She loves everyone she meets and is very good with kids. Unfortunately, Layla is kept on a chain all day and never walked. Her owner is older and as the caretaker of a terminally ill family member who has other pets to care for, there is little time to take Layla out for strolls or more vigorous exercise. Layla seems housetrained (never has had an accident whenever I've had her indoors for many hours at a time,) She is very affectionate, making fast friends with whomever she meets. I've taken her to the vets to be spayed, get tests and shots and she is just thrilled to have a little attention and an outing. She will fit better into a home without other dogs since she prefers to be the only one in the family. Layla is patiently waiting for someone or a family to bond with her affectionate self and share their life and love with her. Please contact Layla's friend, Veronica, at 434.239.6081, if you'd like to meet her, as Layla is not able to accept calls." This dog is in a foster home and not at the Campbell County Animal Control Facility. We always begin with an application to adopt, and this will be forwarded to the foster family for review.
