We ask that the pets in your home be current with rabies vaccines, spay/neutered, and seen by a veterinarian for wellness.

April 2014-transferred to rescue. REESE, a chihuahua/dachshund mix. She appears to be young--about a year. She is scared at the shelter but coming around and loves to play with her buddy, Faline, in the play area. She is full of energy and can run at bullet speed when she feels happy and lets loose. She is a joy to watch play. Dogs and puppies at the Campbell County Animal Control Facility who are not spayed/neutered may be adopted directly only to residents of Campbell County, Lynchburg City, or counties touching Campbell County. If you live outside this area, arrangements will need to be made through FOAC to spay/neuter the pet prior to placement in a new home. Puppies may be too young for the required spay/neuter; special arrangements may sometimes be made for adoptions outside the area in these cases.
