Betsy was picked up from Altavista. Her family was notified she was at the shelter and said they were coming to get her but they never showed up. She seems to be under a year and is a gorgeous chocolaty color, about 35 pounds. She is a bit afraid at the shelter but one of our wonderful ACOs gave her lots of love and made her feel safe. She is good with other dogs and enjoys kids too.
Dogs and puppies at the Campbell County Animal Control Facility who are not spayed/neutered may be adopted directly only to residents of Campbell County, Lynchburg City, or counties touching Campbell County. If you live outside this area, arrangements will need to be made through FOAC to spay/neuter the pet prior to placement in a new home. Puppies may be too young for the required spay/neuter; special arrangements may sometimes be made for adoptions outside the area in these cases.
