LAVENDAR was brought to the pound as a stray. She is a hound/shepherd, about one year old. She loves puppies, humans, and does well with other dogs. She is very friendly and walks so well on a leash. UPDATE 5/14/14: Lavender tested negative for heartworm and is up to date on her rabies vaccine. She also found a wonderful foster home until the perfect family comes to adopt her. Dogs and puppies at the Campbell County Animal Control Facility who are not spayed/neutered may be adopted directly only to residents of Campbell County, Lynchburg City, or counties touching Campbell County. If you live outside this area, arrangements will need to be made through FOAC to spay/neuter the pet prior to placement in a new home. Puppies may be too young for the required spay/neuter; special arrangements may sometimes be made for adoptions outside the area in these cases. This dog is in a foster home and not at the Campbell County Animal Control Facility. We always begin with an application to adopt, and this will be forwarded to the foster family for review. Our process begins with an application, found on our website, www.friendsofcampbellcounty.org. Once your application has been received, a volunteer will call the references you list and then will contact you.
