New to the facility is PENELOPE PUPPY, who turned herself in to the Altavista Animal Hospital on 5/5 because she was lost and all alone. PP has a skin infection and is being treated for sarcoptic mange, so cannot be handled by visitors to the CCAC facility. However, she loves being visited and ogled-over! She is about three months old. Dogs and puppies at the Campbell County Animal Control Facility who are not spayed/neutered may be adopted directly only to residents of Campbell County, Lynchburg City, or counties touching Campbell County. If you live outside this area, arrangements will need to be made through FOAC to spay/neuter the pet prior to placement in a new home. Puppies may be too young for the required spay/neuter; special arrangements may sometimes be made for adoptions outside the area in these cases. Our process begins with an application, found on our website, www.friendsofcampbellcounty.org. Once your application has been received, a volunteer will call the references you list and then will contact you.
