We ask that the pets in your home be current with rabies vaccines, spay/neutered, and seen by a veterinarian for wellness.

"GWENNIE" has been waiting patiently for just the right home to discover her beauty. She is about three months old and ready to leave the comfort of the queen cage in the lobby of the shelter. She is a cat who adores being petted and stroked gently, but may not enjoy hugs and snuggles on your lap quite so much. The policy for adoption requires that you live in Campbell County, Lynchburg City, or a county touching Campbell County, if the cat has not yet been sterilized. If you are a resident of one of these areas, you may adopt directly from the facility and spay/neuter the pet yourself within 30 days, or by the time the pet is six months of age. If you live outside this area, the cat must be spayed or neutered before you can take it home. Kittens too young for spay/neuter may be adopted through Friends of Campbell County Animal Control. We will be happy to help you make arrangements to do this. Our process begins with an application, found on our website, www.friendsofcampbellcounty.org. Once your application has been received, a volunteer will call the references you list and then will contact you.
