EBONY, a 4-5 year old Pom/Chi found and kept in a garage overnight on Friday night on Jersey Level Lane. She was terrified and did not want to be caught yesterday morning. Once, she was settled in late yesterday, Volunteers quickly made friends with her! Today, she was treated to a bath, brushing and deticking and felt so much better afterwards! She pranced around and wanted to jump up and be held by Volunteers! She is a doll baby! Someone has to be missing her! The policy for adopting an unsterilized pet requires that you live in Campbell County, Lynchburg City, or a county touching Campbell County. If you are a resident of one of these areas, you may adopt directly from the facility and spay/neuter the pet yourself within 30 days, or by the time the pet is six months of age. If you live outside this area, the pet must be spayed or neutered before you can take it home. Kittens or puppies too young for spay/neuter may be adopted through Friends of Campbell County Animal Control. We will be happy to help you make arrangements to do this. Our process begins with an application, found on our website, www.friendsofcampbellcounty.org. Once your application has been received, a volunteer will call the references you list and then will contact you.
