8/4/14 transferred to LHS. TAG is a friendly, outgoing hound on the smallish side for hounds, but his smallish size is only physical--there is nothing small about his personality! He gets along perfectly with other dogs wherever he goes, from off-site adoption events to visits at the local ice cream stand where he works the crowd with his charm. His holding time is UP and he says, "Please take me home!!" Come visit TAG at Campbell County Animal Control. UPDATE: TAG is still waiting! Please take a look at this boy and tell us you don't want him to stay at the facility another week! For approved adopters who take the time to go through our approval process, we will sponsor his vetting! You know you want him!! Walks great on a no-pull harness, and does a super job of meeting other dogs and he is excellent with children!! TAG loves riding! And he is such a gentleman at all times! He's like a two year old seeing things for the first time--everything is exciting and new to him when he is in the front seat of the car, looking from a new perspective. The policy for adopting an unsterilized pet requires that you live in Campbell County, Lynchburg City, or a county touching Campbell County. If you are a resident of one of these areas, you may adopt directly from the facility and spay/neuter the pet yourself within 30 days, or by the time the pet is six months of age. If you live outside this area, the pet must be spayed or neutered before you can take it home. Kittens or puppies too young for spay/neuter may be adopted through Friends of Campbell County Animal Control. We will be happy to help you make arrangements to do this. For information on adopting this animal who is in care at the Campbell County Animal Control Facility, please call there: 434.821-4416. Hours are from 12 to 5 on weekdays and 11 to 4 on Saturday.
