7/16/14: Transferred to Green Dogs Unleashed. Janette came in as a stray from One Mile Road with her pal, Arnold. She is about 2 years old and was very shy when she first arrived. After a few days of alot of attention by the volunteers, her true personality has blossomed. She loves to try and play frisbee and ball in the play yard. She has an extra little hop and jump when she pounces on the toy and you can't help but laugh at her glee. She also loves snuggle and get petted. We are so happy to see her come out of her shell! Please come to the shelter to meet this precious little girl. The policy for adopting an unsterilized pet requires that you live in Campbell County, Lynchburg City, or a county touching Campbell County. If you are a resident of one of these areas, you may adopt directly from the facility and spay/neuter the pet yourself within 30 days, or by the time the pet is six months of age. If you live outside this area, the pet must be spayed or neutered before you can take it home. Kittens or puppies too young for spay/neuter may be adopted through Friends of Campbell County Animal Control. We will be happy to help you make arrangements to do this. Our process begins with an application, found on our website, www.friendsofcampbellcounty.org. Once your application has been received, a volunteer will call the references you list and then will contact you.
