Meet Ripley. Best guess as to breed mix for this active boy who is gentle, good with the other dogs, and has a good idea of where the treats are kept, is spaniel/setter. After vaccinating and deworming, we spent some time bathing the little guy so he would have more white spots and less dirty red ones. He cleaned up good! He is about 18 months old, has excellent doggy social skills even when a tough guy tried to intimidate him, and he is the perfect size. The policy for adopting an unsterilized pet requires that you live in Campbell County, Lynchburg City, or a county touching Campbell County. If you are a resident of one of these areas, you may adopt directly from the facility and spay/neuter the pet yourself within 30 days, or by the time the pet is six months of age. If you live outside this area, the pet must be spayed or neutered before you can take it home. Kittens or puppies too young for spay/neuter may be adopted through Friends of Campbell County Animal Control. We will be happy to help you make arrangements to do this.
