We ask that the pets in your home be current with rabies vaccines, spay/neutered, and seen by a veterinarian for wellness.

Meet Taco! He is a stray, about 3 years old and is good with kids, cats, and other dogs of all sizes. He is also housetrained. He needs a home without chickens because they are way too much fun to chase. He is safe in a foster home until a permanent home can be found. Please call or email to make arrangements to meet this wonderful guy today! UPDATE from foster mom 9/8/14: Taco loves sleeping with his favorite 3 year old person. He is set up to be neutered on Thursday and wants a forever home of his very own. He has been with us 9 days now. Does well with kids and other dogs of all sizes. Crate trained. House trained and has not had any accidents. Rides well. Bathes well. Eats well. Walks right with you without a leash. He is an all around lovable 10 lbs of fuzzy cuteness! This dog is in a foster home and not at the Campbell County Animal Control Facility. We always begin with an application to adopt, and this will be forwarded to the foster family for review. Go to www.friendsofcampbellcounty.org The policy for adopting an unsterilized pet requires that you live in Campbell County, Lynchburg City, or a county touching Campbell County. If you are a resident of one of these areas, you may adopt directly from the facility and spay/neuter the pet yourself within 30 days, or by the time the pet is six months of age. If you live outside this area, the pet must be spayed or neutered before you can take it home. Kittens or puppies too young for spay/neuter may be adopted through Friends of Campbell County Animal Control. We will be happy to help you make arrangements to do this.
