UPDATE 10/27: A sturdy five month old terrier mix of some sort who just wants to be loved! BEAN is frantic to find a home where there will be someone to teach him manners, feed him on schedule and tell him what a good boy he is! He has a sharp terrier "bark!" so is not the best choice for apartment living, but .... he loves kids, he loves playing with other dogs, and he needs loving himself. 30 pounds of burning LOVE!! Because of his energy level, he would do best in a home without small children, not because he wouldn't love them, but because he may be too strong for very young ones. This dog is in a foster home and not at the Campbell County Animal Control Facility. We always begin with an application to adopt, and this will be forwarded to the foster family for review. Specific questions are most easily answered by email, info@friendsofcampbellcounty.org, or by leaving a voicemail for one of our volunteers at 434-485-6242. APPLICATIONS ARE REQUIRED TO ADOPT. Go to www.friendsofcampbellcounty.org The policy for adopting an unsterilized pet requires that you live in Campbell County, Lynchburg City, or a county touching Campbell County. If you are a resident of one of these areas, you may adopt directly from the facility and spay/neuter the pet yourself within 30 days, or by the time the pet is six months of age. If you live outside this area, the pet must be spayed or neutered before you can take it home. Kittens or puppies too young for spay/neuter may be adopted through Friends of Campbell County Animal Control. We will be happy to help you make arrangements to do this.
