Gilbert is a handsome kitten who came in with his pal, Brantley. He loves to play and is very friendly. He is great with dogs and we even select him to help us test the dogs to see if they are cat friendly. Don't worry, we are very careful when doing this. Please come meet him at the shelter today. He would love a new home for Christmas! (The cat in the video is Gilbert. We accidentally confused the names with his pal, Brantley)

The policy for adoption requires that you live in Campbell County, Lynchburg City, or a county touching Campbell County, if the cat has not yet been sterilized. If you are a resident of one of these areas, you may adopt directly from the facility and spay/neuter the pet yourself within 30 days, or by the time the pet is six months of age.
If you live outside this area, the cat must be spayed or neutered before you can take it home. Kittens too young for spay/neuter may be adopted through Friends of Campbell County Animal Control. We will be happy to help you make arrangements to do this.

Our process begins with an application, found on our website, www.friendsofcampbellcounty.org. Once your application has been received, a volunteer will call the references you list and then will contact you.
