RASCAL , an overlooked and perfect dog has been in our foster care for months now. When you are this handsome and well-rounded, the world needs to know about it. He is housetrained and crate trained, and is super sweet around the elementary-school child in his foster home. He is happy to be part of anyone's family. At eight months old, he is happy to play with toys, and happy to be with other dogs. He has been neutered, and is current with rabies vaccine and his puppy shots. He is super friendly with everyone! Please check out his video to see how well he does when taking a toy away from him. His foster mom has done a great job getting him ready to be adopted. Take him home with you by applying on our website, www.friendsofcampbellcounty.org ADOPTION GUIDELINES: Virginia’s Code requires that any unsterilized pets adopted from the Campbell County Animal Shelter may be adopted only to residents of Campbell County, the City of Lynchburg, or counties touching Campbell County. If you are a resident of one of these areas, you may adopt directly from the facility and have the pet spayed/neutered within 30 days, or by the time the pet is six months of age. If you live outside this area, the pet must be spayed or neutered before you can take it home. Puppies or kittens in care at the shelter too young to be spayed/neutered before adoption may often be adopted through Friends of Campbell County Animal Control. There is an adoption fee required for this process. We ask that you have a veterinarian on record who can verify that your other pets were well-cared for. Pets identified as being “fostered” are available for a fee. Fees range from $50 to $300. Fostered pets are not at the Campbell County Shelter and the animal wardens may not be familiar with those pets. An Adoption Application, available at the Campbell County Shelter, or online at our website www.friendsofcampbellcounty.org, is required prior to adoption. Specific questions are most easily answered by email, info@friendsofcampbellcounty.org, or by leaving a voicemail for one of our volunteers at 434-485-6242.
