Surrendered to the pound on Friday (12/26), but we don't know why, was TAYLOR, a one year old long-legged beagle boy. He is adamant about not wanting to be there, and perhaps part of the reason is that he is burning and itching from 1) an infestation of ticks (over fifty were attached and pulled off tonight!) 2) an infestatation of fleas and 3) abscessed puncture wounds to his ear, from what appear to be dog bites. Poor boy! He needs us! Better yet, he needs a new home if not reclaimed. The policy for adopting an unsterilized pet requires that you live in Campbell County, Lynchburg City, or a county touching Campbell County. If you are a resident of one of these areas, you may adopt directly from the facility and spay/neuter the pet yourself within 30 days, or by the time the pet is six months of age. If you live outside this area, the pet must be spayed or neutered before you can take it home. Kittens or puppies too young for spay/neuter may be adopted through Friends of Campbell County Animal Control. We will be happy to help you make arrangements to do this.
