4/6/15 transferred to LHS. FRITZ is a most handsome German shepherd mix who truly needs a second chance. He was taken in by a temporary foster who operates a boarding kennel. He has been neutered, and recovered nicely under supervision, because Fritz is positive for heartworms, too. While the process usually starts with heartworm treatment and then a neuter. we did it the other way for Fritz, since we needed to be sure his neuter would calm him down and end most of his marking behavior. The good news is: it worked! Fritz' entire demeanor has changed and he now can be trusted in the boarding area. He goes to the kennel runs of other dogs and enjoys nose to nose meet and greet time. We are anxious to help Fritz get his heartworm treatment completed! He is an older dog about five to six years old, and he adores humans! He is a dog I would trust around any children, and he has no issues with any of the adults who have met him. All he needs is a home, because he has personality plus going for him!
