About Bishop

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • General Color: Fawn
2/4/15 Transferred to LHS. BISHOP arrived as a stray from Bishop Creek Road, and no one has come forward to reclaim him, so he is now available for adoption! Best guess is that he was kept on a chain, but he is doing everything possible to keep his kennel run clean, and do all his potty business outside. He gets along with most dogs, but doesn't want others up in his face. He may be a nice husky/sheltie/collie mix, and is between 1 and 3 years old. (Sometimes it is SO hard to tell!) He likes kids and likes going for runs and walks with volunteers. Maybe this 35 pound dog is just what you've been seeking!? (He was so good when getting a much needed bath. Check out his video) The policy for adopting an unsterilized pet requires that you live in Campbell County, Lynchburg City, or a county touching Campbell County. If you are a resident of one of these areas, you may adopt directly from the facility and spay/neuter the pet yourself within 30 days, or by the time the pet is six months of age. If you live outside this area, the pet must be spayed or neutered before you can take it home. Kittens or puppies too young for spay/neuter may be adopted through Friends of Campbell County Animal Control. We will be happy to help you make arrangements to do this. For information on adopting this animal who is in care at the Campbell County Animal Control Facility, please call there: 434.821-4416. Hours are from 12 to 5 on weekdays and 11 to 4 on Saturday. Email us at info@friendsofcampbellcounty.org. A COMPLETED APPLICATION IS REQUIRED TO ADOPT.
