Pit Bull Terrier (short coat) : : Female : : Adult : : Large
Sweet Bee was found as a stray in a busy portion of Campbell County, in the Brookville School district. Because she is so nicely groomed and well kept, despite her closely cropped ears, we feel someone really loved her and showed her lots of attention and we keep thinking she will be reclaimed so she can go back home. After three days at the shelter, Bee finally trusted herself to come out of her kennel run all on her own without encouragement from a volunteer so she could go for a walk. Once outside, she has a little more confidence in today, was willing to explore to the edge of the parking lot and even to go over and say hi to the puppies. Bee is a lovely girl, and when her holding time is up, we would love to be able to have her ready to go into a home. Because she is easily scared by loud noises in quick motions, we do not recommend a home with small children who move quickly, and can be a little frightening! Older kids, other dogs, we think will be absolutely fine. We don’t know about cats. To adopt start with an application which you can find on our website at www.friendsofcampbellcounty.org.
PLEASE NOTE: This pet has been posted by Friends of Campbell County Animal Control, Rustburg, VA. For questions about the pet, please email us at FOACinfo@gmail.com. All adoptions begin with an application, found under the "Animals" tab on our website, friendsofcampbellcounty.org. *Unaltered babies under the age of six months can be adopted only to residents of Campbell County, the City of Lynchburg, and counties touching Campbell County. *Unaltered adult pets six months or older will need to be sterilized before they can be adopted outside our local area of Campbell County, the City of Lynchburg, or counties touching Campbell. *We do not promote dog adoptions to homes where an invisible fence is the fencing of choice. *We do not permit cats or kittens to be declawed following adoption.
