UPDATE: We are limiting his food intake in hopes that we can help Ringo Starr lose some pounds before his heartworm treatment. Heartworm already put a strain on his heart and the extra weight is not helping at all. Ringo needs to lose 20 pounds to be considered ideal body weight. At 88 pounds, we have quite a ways to go. Please adopt Ringo Starr and let us sponsor his heartworm treatment! Housetrained to a T, and we are told he lived with a Chihuahua and was very gentle with it before he came to the shelter. He also knows how to be nice to children! - - - My name is Ringo Starr, but I’m a pittie mix—not a beetle! I was signed over to the Campbell County Shelter today and my family moved and said they could not take me with them. My mom was very sad, and did not want to do it, because she knows how crowded the shelter is, but she said she had no other options. I don’t know what an option is, but I really like the people at the Campbell County Shelter because they told me they want to give me every chance in the world to find a home. They said it’s a good thing that I am already neutered, because that will save them having to do surgery on me. they also said I’m a bit chunky! I do like my dinner! When I arrived and was shown to my guest housing area, I stopped and met all the other dogs up and down the road, and I like some of them very much. I think I will find a good friend here, and I really want to be adopted. Maybe your family would be one that would work out for me? Please give me a chance! Applications are found on the website, www.friendsofcampbellcounty.org.
