Chow Chow / Mixed (medium coat) : : Female : : Senior : : Medium Learn more about the Chow Chow.
Sometimes you have to walk through deep treacherous water to get to the reward on the other side. We are willing to bet that Pickles had her share of floodwaters, murky and swirling and threatening to pull her under, but now she is ready for the promise of a new home! Pickles went to a foster home yesterday, and is clearly happy to be in a house again, on the furniture again, loved and with attention from humans. She craved attention when she was at the shelter, but had some trust issues initially, because her human had been taken to a healthcare center and she had no clue where he was. We understand her human’s family were unable to catch her, and were very relieved to have Animal Control help them out. Pickles has been micro chipped, updated with her vaccines, and was tested for heartworm and tick disease. She is already spayed; at 13 years old, the kindest thing someone could do is provide a retirement home for her. Please start with an application from our website
PICKLES: We are told she is fourteen years old! Sadly, her owner had the need to move to assisted living, and had to give her up. How devastating for both of them! If you love sweet older dogs, 35 pounds or less, she will be perfect for you.
