Adolescent Jasper is a handsome 7 month old husky/lab mix surrendered to the shelter on Friday. Pups five to eight months old are frequently given up by their humans because they are no longer cute, playful babies, and need training and guidance. Although they can be challenging, they love positive reinforcement, and adore attention that will help them learn to please you! We have immediate success with pups this age when we use short sessions of clicker training when the volunteers visit the shelter. Are you familiar with clickers? Classes using positive reinforcement are offered locally, or you can read up on it, or find Youtube videos illustrating the methods. You can teach tricks as well as manners, and your dog can learn to focus on YOU! If you are looking for a fun challenge, come meet Jasper!

Our process begins with an application, found on our website, www.friendsofcampbellcounty.org. Once your application has been received, a volunteer will call the references you list and then will contact you.
