FORREST: sweet and special, going on a year old. Forrest has been in care for months, as we have observed his development. This poor guy had a rough beginning when he was accidentally injured by his mom at the age of four weeks. He has been developmentally delayed, but is making great progress despite vision loss and neurological injury. He is a beautiful Husky/Great Pyrenees mix. He loves other dogs, and so far is okay with cats, though he is never left alone with them. (His littermates have proven to have high prey drive.) He is in foster care where he is cratetrained. He is also a great destroyer of toys! He loves to chew and needs lots of appropriate toys!
Those who feel his genetic makeup may make him a good guardian dog need to know this: He's a lover, not a fighter! The last thing he wants to do is fight off wild animals. Instead, he would lick them to death, and that's not the best attribute for a guardian! To adopt, please start with an application: www.friendsofcampbellcounty.org.
