Jack was signed over to the shelter, and was happy that a foster home was available to take him in. He is currently living with two other puppies about the same age and size, and the roommates seem to be very happy together. Jack will be available for adoption after a two-week hold time, so we can make sure he is healthy and has a solid start on his puppy vaccines.  His foster family will be socializing him and handling him, and his canine foster siblings can help him learn good social skills within the dog pack.

Remember how sharp baby puppy claws can be, and how much they love to chew on fingers and toes when they are teething? Puppies are not for the weak of heart! Who will take the puppy out in the middle of the night for potty training? Who will be cleaning up his pee and poop and praising him  when he potties appropriately? Which family member will be  feeding the pup, filling the water bowl, and taking puppy to training class? Are you ready for sleepless nights as you help puppy learn about being in a crate? Are you prepared for routine vet visits, or even an emergency visit because the puppy ate Valentine chocolates when he climbed on the kitchen table when your back was turned for less than a minute?
