Do you long for a declawed cat, but agree that the process of declawing is truly inhumane? Why not rescue a beauty who is already declawed?
Senior CaliCat was declawed as a youngster and lived with one human all her life. When her senior person passed away, Cali was taken in by family members, who soon discovered they were allergic to her. So—another transition was needed, first to the shelter, and then to a foster home. For three months, Cali has been trying to enjoy living with other cats. She has made it obviously clear that she prefers being an only cat, and her New Years resolution was to become more social, and get on social media to look for a home with a nice quiet mom or dad to treat her well, and wait on her hand and foot. You can just see her dreaming of life as an “only,” anticipating walking freely around her new home, without worrying about smelling another cat’s presence in the vicinity. She is a wonderful choice for a senior with time to spend loving and talking to a cat. Retirement with Cali would be great! apply here: friendsofcampbellcounty.org , under the Animals heading.
