Looking for a queen or at least a PRINCESS?Meet Belle!

Belle is a Southern Belle, all the way from South Carolina. Her journey has been long, but we are going to make sure she lands in the place that will be her forever home, and make her happy at last!

This little gal is choosy about her companions! She appears to prefer being with girl dogs over boy dogs, but can hang out with both if needed. She can run faster than a bullet, yet slow down and decide to be your best friend and lap dog at a minute’s notice.

She’s a bit of a mystery and it’s been fun unlocking her secrets to discover what makes her tick! We know she is fascinated with toys, and she is constantly searching out new ones, which she then takes to her crate and adds to her collection. The only downside to this is that then she wants to protect them from other dogs, so this has to be managed if there is another dog in the home, or you can just have her be the queen of your home! That’s what she would really prefer anyway. She does great around other dogs as long as there’s no food or treats involved, but she can  be possessive of her person as well, again in the presence of other dogs. And as far as cats, well, no go there. She has no use for cats and will probably try to run them off or worse if she had the opportunity. I have not found any people she has not liked, but because of her hoarding, we recommend a family with no children  or  only older children who are savvy with dog behavior. She has never tried to bite or snap at her foster family or any other humans, and only has issues with dogs on occasion. We find it best to be totally honest with our prospective adopters. We know she will be a nice fit somewhere, and are trying to find the perfect fit. Because she adores riding and does great in the vehicle looking out the window, sitting nicely in the front seat, we think she’d be a great companion for a truck driver! Or if you’re a family who likes traveling in your camper and going cross country, you could not find a better companion. Everyone has a niche, and we want Belle to find hers.
