FAWN is one of those pups that you just can't do without! She is loving, playful, needy yet independent, naughty yet nice... a true mix of breeds (no clue what she is!) and personalities, and her behaviors continue to amaze and impress. Her foster mom(s) have been impressed with her physical progress, and now her training is also underway.

Fawn was an emaciated skeleton when she arrived in our care. At eight months of age she weighed only 12 pounds, and she had no interest whatsoever in eating. Food was an exciting thing for her, but she picked and just didn't seem to care. When you deal with starving dogs, you just don't understand that behavior, so after one month of this, we knew there was more to the story and had her tested for digestive problems. Sure enough, we found that she suffered from an enzyme not being produced in her pancreas, so she was unable to absorb the nutrients from her food! She is currently on an enzyme supplement program that has allowed her to double her weight! She eats well, and looks forward to meal time! She is learning to behave in the kitchen and be happy while waiting for her turn to eat. She lives with other dogs, and is fine with German Shepherds through chihuahuas. How can you ask for a better dog than this?
