Pit Bull Terrier / Labrador Retriever / Mixed (short coat) : : Male : : Young : : Large Learn more about the Labrador Retriever.
It's not always true, but many times dogs are much better off at the shelter than they are with their families. Zeus and Petey are two of those dogs. They were apparently allowed to run free, and got into the chicken pen of a neighbor. In our area, it's not unusual for people to allow their dogs to run free. But once you know there's an issue, you need to address it. Now that we know feathered friends are not good neighbors for these two boys, we're going to make sure they are placed in appropriate homes. Petey is a big boy, and is a handsome lab/boxer looking boy. He has a lighter color than his brother Zeus. While they play nicely together, we know they would be much happier if they were separated. With a full shelter, that's not easy to accomplish! We do not want them adopted together, so you would need to come and choose which one is your favorite! They are learning to walk nicely on a leash, and play nicely with other dogs besides just one another.
