Fritz is grieving over the loss of his beloved older mom and dad. You see, he lost his mama when she passed away just before Christmas. Her last words to her friend were, "Take care of my Fritzy!" Fritz was loved also by his human dad, but circumstances led Dad to an assisted living home last week, due to some problems with memory, and now Fritz is left wondering what the next chapter in his life will be. Fritz is about 4 years old, a neutered male. He is a house broken, house dog but likes (needs) to get out about 3 times a day or so. He is not mean or aggressive, but it does take him a while to warm up to new people. He is very "protective" of his food and toys. He has been in an environment where he was more or less spoiled by two elderly people and had no competition for attention from other dogs, etc. He does fine on good quality dry dog food. You will note in the photos he is a bit overweight, the result of some overfeeding and table scrap feeding. Fritz does not want to be in a home with lots of coming and going. He has not been around other dogs, so wants to be the King of the Castle, or at least share with only one other dog. Does this describe your home? This dog is in a foster home and not at the Campbell County Animal Control Facility. For an application to adopt, go to www.friendsofcampbellcounty.org.
