About Peachiee

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • General Color: White
Peachiee is a "Feist," which, if you are unaware of the breed, would be comparable to a Jack Russell. This little gal is about 1-2 years old and has a pretty nasty skin infection from demodectic mange, which causes bleeding skin and some itchiness, but which is non-contagious, a nuisance, and often brought on by malnutrition and stress, when the dog's immune system is compromised. The good news is it is treatable and in fact is being treated, thanks to the wonderful supporters of our FOAC pets! While she doesn't smell all the best, due to the mange,Peachiee is ready to be adopted and head into a home! The change would be so good for her! She could be given her antibiotic and her daily ivermectin without fail. If you don't mind a challenge, and adore dogs who won't get bigger than twenty pounds, please consider this little one! Call 434.821.4416 to inquire about adoption. Dogs and puppies who are not spayed/neutered may be adopted directly to residents of Campbell County, Lynchburg City, or counties touching Campbell County. If you live outside this area, arrangements will need to be made through FOAC to spay/neuter the pet prior to placement in a new home. Puppies may be too young for the required spay/neuter; special arrangements may sometimes be made for adoptions outside the area in these cases. This dog is in a foster home and not at the Campbell County Animal Control Facility. We always begin with an application to adopt, and this will be forwarded to the foster family for review. You can find this on our website, www.friendsofcampbellcounty.org. Specific questions are most easily answered by email, info@friendsofcampbellcounty.org, or by TEXTING one of our volunteers at her personal cell phone, 434.851-2598. Our process begins with an application, found on our website, www.friendsofcampbellcounty.org. Once your application has been received, a volunteer will call the references you list and then will contact you.
