We ask that the pets in your home be current with rabies vaccines, spay/neutered, and seen by a veterinarian for wellness.

Fred came in as a stray with his sister, Ethel. He is an adorable basset/lab mix, about 1 year old and is so much fun to watch while chasing his sister out in the play yard. They run as fast as their little short legs will take them! Fred is great with kids and other dogs too. They both have become favorites of the volunteers! UPDATE: Fred's sister was adopted and now Fred is in foster care but he still needs a forever home. Dogs and puppies who are not spayed/neutered may be adopted directly to residents of Campbell County, Lynchburg City, or counties touching Campbell County. If you live outside this area, arrangements will need to be made through FOAC to spay/neuter the pet prior to placement in a new home. Puppies may be too young for the required spay/neuter; special arrangements may sometimes be made for adoptions outside the area in these cases. This dog is in a foster home and not at the Campbell County Animal Control Facility. We always begin with an application to adopt, and this will be forwarded to the foster family for review. Our process begins with an application, found on our website, www.friendsofcampbellcounty.org. Once your application has been received, a volunteer will call the references you list and then will contact you.
