About Kita

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • General Color: Brown/Chocolate
  • Housetrained: Yes
5/11/14 Transferred to rescue in NJ. We were "gifted" with five year old KITA, spayed, housetrained, good with other dogs, kids, and cats. The family had her for only two days, (landlord was not aware of her size) and when we asked for background information, they were unable to contact the folks from whom she came originally. We've updated her vaccines and she is now current with rabies, bordatella, DHPP, and heartworm testing. To keep her alive, she is boarding at the local vet hospital. If an Akita, noble and loyal dog of Asia, is in your outlook, contact us by email to let us know you want to meet her! This dog is in a foster home and not at the Campbell County Animal Control Facility. We always begin with an application to adopt, and this will be forwarded to the foster family for review. You can find this on our website, www.friendsofcampbellcounty.org. Specific questions are most easily answered by email, info@friendsofcampbellcounty.org, or by TEXTING or leaving a voicemail for one of our volunteers at 434-485-6242. Our process begins with an application, found on our website, www.friendsofcampbellcounty.org. Once your application has been received, a volunteer will call the references you list and then will contact you.
